The Policy Forum is a bi-monthly web-based presentation and facilitated discussion exploring research published in the most recent Policy Research Brief. This brief found that most people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who receive long-term supports now live with a family member. That number more than doubled between 1998 and 2018, but it varied widely between states. These and other findings—and the policy recommendations they raise—will be debated by the discussants, who typically include people with disabilities, their families, direct support professionals, advocates, policymakers, and researchers. Everyone is welcome to attend this free forum, but registration is required.
