Body Safety Information Session: Parents, Guardians, and Other Caregivers

The "Body Safety Information Session: for parents, guardians, and other caregivers" offers an opportunity to discuss the issue of sexual violence perpetrated against those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn what sexual violence is, how prevalent it is, and how it impacts those who experience it.

The main goal of this discussion is to provide information on how parents, guardians, and other trusted adults can help to prevent sexual violence through normalizing conversations and providing educational opportunities. Once we recognize the importance of addressing this issue, we can then focus our efforts into both preventing future harm and supporting those who have experienced this harm.
